The Living Faith Baptist Church's 42-page scathing report on the Washington Post continues to be ignored by the Ombudsman at the Post. Too bad because it has some great story tips for the Post to investigate. The report was delivered to your editors.
Go ask for it or you can ask me or download it at www.stopwashpost.com.
Feel free readers to send them a link to the blog so they can get educated. Truth be told, my friends at the Post say you might have to actually visit the Post because they rarely leave their desks as evident of the scribes hardly ever showing up to cover events in Prince George's County. Someone buy them a GPS. It also is unclear how much effort it takes them to click the mouse and surf the Internet where their Ombudsman could actually find this critical blog of the rag. I am told by some of my Posties reaching for a mouse might cause a coffee spill. So they got some good excuses.
So back to the Temple Hills report; the church suggests a great story to cover. A local company that employs thousands of people have not seen a wage increase in five years. "For much of that time," says the report, "since May 2003, the workers have been fighting for a fair labor contract."
Problem is that this company is holding things up, the report says. So the company decided to go after the workers' employee-funded pension fund. Does it look the company is trying to steal money from the workers' pension fund? This is a great story. Who should be policing the company?
If you want to reach this company, simply call the Washington Post - because the Post IS the company that the report suggests is treating employees not so nice.
Send the blog out to the Post's Ombudsman and give it a plug. Noise wakes up the media. And who cares if they spill their coffee? At least then they have to get out of their chair and stand up. That would be a start.
